I enjoy playing football with my economics friends, going to the gym to workout, singing and running.

A typical day in my life

I wake up early and start my day with some exercise, which typically involves going for a run or working out at the gym. I then do some work while eating breakfast, such as completing internship applications or administrative tasks. I then usually head to campus ahead of my lecture to do seminar or lecture prep ahead of time. I typically have a lecture or seminar and then have lunch on campus, where I work some more before heading back home. In the afternoon, I also generally have some sport to play, whether this is campus league football or touch rugby. I spend most of my evenings at home chatting with my housemates and get an early night (unless it’s sports night).

Why was the University of Birmingham the right choice for you?

I knew I wanted to be near a big city, so Birmingham was a great fit for me because it provides a refreshing and green safe haven nearby a vibrant city. I was immediately drawn to the modern campus and was particularly impressed with the library and business school, both of which I knew I would visit frequently as an Economics student.

My favourite place in Birmingham

It has to be Winterbourne Gardens. It's just a 5-minute walk away from the centre of campus and is a great place to decompress in the company of nature on the weekend. You can enjoy a coffee at the terrace café, and entry is free for students as the gardens are in partnership with the university.
