Why did you choose your course at the University of Birmingham?
At the time I was in a very low point in my life after leaving my job and I had to work out what I wanted to do. In a moment of clarity I googled the term “Shakespeare Masters degree” and found the Shakespeare and Creativity course with the University of Birmingham. After reading the syllabus I knew it was for me.
What has been the highlight of your course and why?
Meeting people who also love what I love, at the Shakespeare Institute I found my tribe.
What have you learnt from your course?
During my studies, particularly our practical projects, I found all these new skills that I can take into the future.
What has surprised you most about being a student at the University of Birmingham?
The incredible amount of resources and knowledge available here.
What have you enjoyed most about living and studying in Stratford-upon-Avon?
Stratford-Upon-Avon is such a beautiful and historic place that it just brings me joy being here. I also love getting to see the shows and meet people who work at and with the RSC
