Tell us about your career so far
Beginning as an Intern at Deloitte, I advanced rapidly to Senior Cyber Security Analyst within the Global Event Monitoring Service. I specialized in real-time monitoring and remediation of phishing, network, endpoint, and identity threats. In my senior role, I spearheaded process improvements by applying Lean methodologies. These initiatives successfully eliminated operational waste and significantly increased the efficiency of phishing response and remediation workflows.
Why did you choose to study an MBA at the University of Birmingham?
My decision to pursue an MBA at the University of Birmingham was driven by the school's unique synergy with my professional background. Having started my career at Deloitte, I was drawn to the exclusive Deloitte Consultancy Challenge, which offers a rigorous platform to refine the strategic consulting skills I admired during my tenure. Furthermore, the Triple-Crown accredited curriculum—specifically the Strategy & International Business pathway—will allow me to elevate my operational experience in cybersecurity into a broader strategic leadership skillset, equipping me to lead digital transformation on a global scale.
What are your career aspirations after completing the MBA?
Post-MBA, my goal is to transition into a Strategy Consulting role specifically at the convergence of Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity. Moving beyond the reactive remediation work I performed at Deloitte, I aim to advise organizations on 'Secure by Design' architectures. My vision is to standardize the integration of AI-driven security protocols into the foundation of every internet-facing product. I intend to help companies shift from passive defence to predictive, AI-enabled resilience, ensuring that rapid digital innovation never compromises user safety.
