Tell us about your career so far
I have over five years of entrepreneurial experience in India’s manufacturing sector, specialising in iron-based furniture. I have scaled operations across multiple Indian states and successfully executed government tenders. Alongside this, I am developing a startup focused on exporting Indian handicrafts and handlooms, gaining exposure to international trade, supply chains, and market entry strategies. My experience spans operations management, vendor coordination, quality control, and business development, providing a strong practical foundation for advanced management training through an MBA.
Why did you choose to study an MBA at the University of Birmingham?
I chose the University of Birmingham for its globally respected Birmingham Business School and its highly collaborative MBA structure. The programme’s emphasis on teamwork, working under strict timelines, and solving real business challenges reflects the realities of senior management roles. Learning alongside a diverse, international cohort will strengthen my ability to work across cultures and perspectives. The University’s focus on experiential learning, leadership development, and responsible management makes it an ideal environment to develop adaptability, collaboration, and global business skills.
What are your career aspirations after completing the MBA?
In the short term, I aim to build a strong career in the finance and banking sector, with a particular interest in FinTech and AI-enabled financial solutions. I seek roles that combine financial expertise, technology, and strategic thinking. In the long term, my aspiration is to establish and scale my own business globally, entering new sectors and markets. Through my MBA, I aim to develop the leadership, financial, and strategic capabilities required to build internationally competitive and sustainable enterprises.
