I worked as a Branch Credit Manager at HDB Financial Services for three years, leading a team of 15–25 professionals. My expertise includes financial analysis, underwriting, and credit risk assessment across sectors such as FMCG, steel, pharmaceuticals, construction and transportation. I managed a £3.5M (₹40 crore) portfolio, increased profitability by 80% and 135% year-on-year, and achieved a 66% reduction in turnaround time. I also trained and mentored 10+ professionals, strengthening team capability and operational efficiency.
Why did you choose to study an MBA at the University of Birmingham?
I selected the University of Birmingham for its strong reputation in globally recognised, Triple Crown-accredited MBA. The programme’s practical consulting projects, diverse cohort and extensive industry connections align with my goals of strengthening my analytical and leadership skills. What are your career aspirations after completing the MBA?
After graduating, I hope to build a career in finance and consulting, where I can use my analytical skills to make a meaningful impact on real business decisions. In the short term, I am aiming to work in the UK to gain global exposure and learn from diverse teams and industries. Over time, I want to grow into roles that allow me to lead, mentor others and shape financial strategy. Ultimately, I am driven by the desire to keep learning, take on new challenges and contribute to organisations in a meaningful way.
