Why did you originally apply to do your chosen course at Birmingham?

I was drawn to Birmingham because of its great reputation for Computer Science and the fact that it’s so well-regarded in the UK and worldwide. On top of that, the campus is absolutely beautiful and its great to see the different sceneries across different seasons.

What do you think are the best points of your course?

The support is wonderful; whether it’s the lecturers or TAs, there’s always someone willing to help. I also love how much the University listens to our feedback and actually makes changes that improve the course. Moreover, the events hosted by the Computer Science societies and hall reps are a big bonus. They’re a great way to connect with others and enjoy a break from studying.

What’s the best thing about studying at Birmingham?

The beautiful campus which looks absolutely stunning with every season as well as the variety of different opportunities available is incredible, whether it’s activities, accommodation events or networking events. But what really makes it special is the people; you meet students from all over the world, which makes for such a diverse and vibrant community.

What’s the highlight of your time at the University?

Making friends from different countries.

What advice would you give to students thinking about studying on the course?

Be ready to put in a lot of effort yourself, its not easy but you have to stay consistent and dedicated

Is there anything extra students thinking about studying on the course should know

Be passionate about it so you can thrive, the degree is challenging so if you don't already like computer science you will struggle a lot with the modules.
