My experience working as a student casual with Worklink

My experience with Worklink has been incredibly rewarding and flexible, allowing me to balance my academic commitments with varied part-time roles. From invigilation to event support and admin work, each assignment has given me the chance to meet new people, explore different parts of the University, and contribute to its smooth running.

The Worklink team has always been supportive and approachable, making the process of finding and securing roles simple and stress-free. These opportunities have also helped me feel more connected to the UoB community. I would highly recommend Worklink to any student looking for flexible, well-organised work opportunities that complement their studies.

Not only does it provide extra income, but it also enhances employability by offering real-world skills and experiences. 

Skills I developed working through Worklink

Through Worklink, I have strengthened my communication, organisation, and time management skills, as well as my adaptability in new environments. Invigilation roles sharpened my attention to detail and responsibility, while event and admin positions improved my teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

I’ve also gained valuable customer service experience and developed a professional approach to interacting with staff, students, and visitors from diverse backgrounds.
