Tell us about your career so far
With four years of experience in product and project management across EdTech and IT services, I’ve always been driven to turn strategy into tangible result. Previously at Sify Technologies, I loved the challenge of leading cross-functional teams to launch enterprise cloud platforms. Focusing on data-driven insights, I delivered a 33% cost reduction for our clients and grew our sales pipeline by 40%. However, my most defining professional chapter was at BYJU’S. Working as a Project Manager during the uncertainty of COVID, I had the privilege of mobilizing a 30-person team for the 'Education for All' initiative. It was incredibly rewarding to coordinate a project that delivered digital learning to 10000+ underprivileged children. I take pride in using my experience to build products that create tangible, meaningful value.
Why did you choose to study an MBA at the University of Birmingham?
I chose Birmingham Business School to challenge my thinking. While I know how to execute product roadmaps, I need this MBA to master high-level strategy. I’m specifically drawn to the Deloitte Consultancy Challenge because I learn best by doing, and that practical intensity is invaluable to me. Your focus on Responsible Business also resonates deeply with my roots in social impact EdTech. I believe business must be a force for good. Combined with the Purposeful Leadership module, this is exactly the environment I need to evolve from a functional manager into a future C-suite leader.
What are your career aspirations after completing the MBA?
I’ve come to realize that building great products only matters if the business strategy behind them is sound. That insight is why I want to pivot into Strategy Consulting. I want to shift from asking 'how do we build this?' to answering 'why should we build this? My immediate goal is to join a Strategy Consulting firm, specifically within the TMT sector. I’ve seen firsthand the friction between engineering potential and commercial reality, and I want to help clients navigate that complexity. Long-term, I aspire to evolve into a Partner or C-suite leader, ensuring that technology investments deliver real, sustainable value rather than just hype.
