Tell us about your career so far

I have over four years’ consultancy experience at Fragomen, a leading global immigration services firm. Working as a client service manager, I simultaneously managed six global client accounts and played a key role in expanding two major accounts through Fragomen’s technology solutions. During the Ukraine crisis, I led 30+ client consultation calls, providing urgent support and guidance under high-pressure conditions. Prior to this, I worked as an Associate Translator at RWS Group in the life sciences sector. My passion for international business is reflected in both my professional experience and my academic background, having completed an undergraduate degree in German and Spanish.

Why did you choose to study an MBA at the University of Birmingham?

I was particularly drawn to this programme because of its strong reputation and prestigious Triple Crown Accreditation, which gave me confidence in its ability to support my career aspirations. Opportunities such as the immersive modules and the Deloitte Consultancy Challenge particularly appealed to me, as they provide meaningful real-world experience and industry exposure with a strong emphasis on international business. In addition, the large global alumni network offers access to valuable connections, mentorship, and long-term career opportunities across diverse industries, complemented by the lifelong careers support provided by Birmingham Business School’s Careers team. Finally, with the excellent employment prospects in the West Midlands after graduation, choosing the University of Birmingham was especially important to me.

What are your career aspirations after completing the MBA?

After completing my MBA, I aspire to secure a management role in the West Midlands where I can apply the strategic, analytical, and leadership skills I develop throughout the programme. I am motivated by the opportunity to work in a consultancy environment, taking ownership of complex challenges and delivering meaningful impact while continuously developing my skills. In the longer term, I aim to progress into senior leadership, shaping organisational direction, driving innovation, and supporting sustainable growth. My strong interest in international business reflects my ambition to work across diverse markets, bring a global perspective to decision-making, and create lasting value.
