Tell us about your career so far
My professional experience spans entrepreneurship, client advisory, and escalation management. I started out as an entrepreneur, where I handled day-to-day operations, managed teams, and worked closely with customers to grow the business. Later, I moved into client-facing roles, advising high-value clients and resolving complex escalations. I regularly worked with cross-functional teams to find practical, long-term solutions. Across these roles, I’ve developed strong problem-solving skills, learned to manage stakeholders effectively, and focused on delivering real, measurable outcomes.
Why did you choose to study an MBA at the University of Birmingham?
I chose the University of Birmingham because of the strong reputation of Birmingham Business School, its focus on practical, career-oriented learning, and the diverse cohort it attracts. The MBA’s emphasis on strategy, leadership, and real-world application aligns well with my goal of moving into business consulting. I was also drawn to the school’s strong employer links, global outlook, and the opportunity to learn from experienced faculty while collaborating with peers from different professional backgrounds.
What are your career aspirations after completing the MBA?
In the short term, I want to move into a business consulting role where I can work on solving real business problems and support clients with practical, well-structured solutions. Over time, I aim to grow as a consultant, working more closely with senior stakeholders and taking responsibility for larger and more complex engagements. Overall, my goal is to build a career focused on problem-solving, continuous learning, and creating meaningful impact for organisations.
