How has studying at Birmingham nurtured your musical passions?
All music facilities at the University of Birmingham are enough for me, although I am a student of musicology theory so I focus more on academic research. Both the music resources and the library have provided me with a very rich variety of materials. In addition, I am keen to watch a variety of concerts provided by the School, which provides a lot of convenience for my studies.
What's your favourite module so far?
My favourite module is British music performance, which is an elective course. I will learn about different types of music in different periods every week. Perhaps because of my interest in British culture, I will stimulate my desire to explore.
What's your career goal, and how is Birmingham helping you reach this?
In the future, I may become a music teacher or an editor. All the knowledge and inspiration given to me by the University of Birmingham will make me a more perfect and rigorous person.
What do you think is unique about the University of Birmingham?
The University of Birmingham was the first red brick university and I loved its atmosphere and the feeling of enriching myself on campus.
