Tell us about your career so far

I have over four years of professional experience at EY in German taxation, where I worked on engagements for Fortune 500 clients, managed ongoing client deliverables, and supported team coordination across complex cross-border assignments. I later joined a well-established CA firm in an entrepreneurial capacity, contributing to the setup of a global financial compliance function, supporting project delivery, and assisting in the development of reporting processes. Alongside this, I have worked as a self-employed fitness consultant, gaining exposure to client management and small-business operations.

Why did you choose to study an MBA at the University of Birmingham?

I selected University of Birmingham for its strong emphasis on practical, application-led learning and its focus on developing responsible, well-rounded business leaders. The MBA’s consulting-oriented curriculum, use of real-world projects, and strong links with industry align well with my goal of transitioning into general management and strategy roles. Additionally, the diverse cohort and collaborative learning environment appealed to me, as they offer exposure to varied perspectives and global business challenges. The University of Birmingham’s reputation, research strength, and supportive career development resources were key deciding factors in my choice.

What are your career aspirations after completing the MBA?

I aim to leverage my MBA to transition into a generalist management or strategy-oriented role, such as management consulting or corporate strategy, where I can gain broad exposure to business problems across industries and functions. Over the longer term, I aspire to take on leadership roles that involve shaping organizational strategy, driving growth initiatives, and building scalable, high-impact teams. While I am open to exploring multiple sectors, my overarching goal is to develop into a well-rounded business leader capable of making informed, data-driven decisions in complex, global environments.
