After five years in the UK, I returned to Mumbai to launch Moovesa, a co-working space for multidisciplinary allied healthcare. We bring together physiotherapists, psychologists, occupational therapists, and nutritionists under one roof, with plans to expand into speech therapy, podiatry, and more.
Our model enables practitioners to run independent practices while collaborating as an integrated rehab team. This shared environment encourages cross-disciplinary learning and ensures patients receive coordinated, comprehensive care.
Moovesa stands out for its focus on supporting schools & corporates—sectors that often overlook essential healthcare needs.
While many schools have a nurse, they often lack structured rehabilitation for neurotypical and neurodivergent children facing physical, nutritional, or emotional challenges.
Similarly, corporates typically offer basic health checks but fall short on ongoing occupational health support. Without early intervention, unresolved issues can lead to absenteeism and reduced employee well-being.
In both settings, we’ve observed persistent problems—speech delays, nutritional gaps, emotional struggles, and untreated impairments—that go unaddressed for years. Moovesa bridges these gaps through an integrated, collaborative model. Our mission is to make structured, proactive healthcare accessible in schools and workplaces, where early, consistent support can truly change lives.
A typical day at Moovesa involves managing clinic operations, coordinating appointments, and matching patients with the right specialists. I also consult with patients myself, so my schedule is a blend of administrative tasks and hands-on clinical work.
Toward the end of the day, I check in with our clinicians—whether it's assigning rooms for the next day or gathering feedback on how we can improve. I'm committed to fostering a collaborative, smooth-running environment for both our team and clients.
Outside the clinic, I actively network with doctors, surgeons, and potential referrers to grow Moovesa’s community and spread awareness about our services. It’s a dynamic, purpose-driven role that keeps me motivated every day.
My post-Birmingham journey was fast-paced and fulfilling. I got an early start with a three-month placement at Charlton Athletic Football Club, where I gained hands-on experience working with academy athletes—a key inspiration behind Moovesa.
Due to visa constraints, I had just two months to find a job after graduating. I secured a Band 5 role, working across both NHS and private sectors. My interest in NHS led healthcare drove me to a Specialist MSK Physiotherapist role at Homerton University Hospital, rotating through Sports Medicine and Pain Clinics, while also pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine.
I later moved to Imperial College NHS Trust, where I specialized in hand therapy—a field aligned with my interests—and mentored junior staff. My final role in the UK was as a Band 7 Senior Physiotherapist at The Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth, where I collaborated closely with surgeons, conducted audits, and contributed to multidisciplinary care.
These diverse experiences over the years shaped my clinical identity and laid the foundation for Moovesa’s collaborative model.
The course at Birmingham was both rigorous and empowering. The modules went beyond sports to focus on exercise as a broader concept, equipping me with a holistic view of physical health.
One of my biggest takeaways was the importance of effective, empathetic communication. My tutors emphasized listening closely to patients and understanding their stories before jumping to conclusions—an approach that continues to inform my clinical work.
From essays to workshops, the emphasis on critical thinking and problem-solving shaped me into a reflective, analytical clinician—skills that are vital in real-world practice.
The English proficiency sessions were invaluable. They helped me refine my academic writing, structure my essays effectively, and build confidence in expressing complex ideas.
Beyond academics, the Careers Network offered workshops, networking events, and one-on-one consultations that improved my soft skills—communication, CV writing, and interview prep. These played a key role in securing roles within both the NHS and private practice in the UK.
Moving to Birmingham was a big step for me, having always studied close to home. Initially, it felt daunting, but the city’s diversity—especially its vibrant Asian community—helped me settle in quickly.
The course encouraged independent thinking. Rather than handing over answers, it pushed us to ask better questions and approach research with curiosity and purpose. This approach shaped the way I now engage with clinical challenges and innovation.
One of the highlights was the diversity of the cohort. My peers came from varied clinical backgrounds, and our shared learning inspired the interdisciplinary framework that Moovesa is built upon today.
A standout moment was my three-month placement at Charlton Athletic Football Club. It was there that the seeds for Moovesa were first planted. Working with academy players taught me about their unique physical, emotional, and developmental needs, and highlighted the power of multidisciplinary care.
I collaborated with physiotherapists, S&C coaches, and medical staff, contributing to rehab, injury prevention, and pitch-side support. I was trusted with planning strength sessions, prescribing exercises, and documenting my clinical progress—all aligned with clear learning objectives.
This placement gave me confidence in my clinical skills and a deep appreciation for teamwork—principles that remain central to Moovesa. It also helped me secure my first job post-graduation and set the tone for a rewarding career across top UK hospitals.
