Morning Routine

My days start at varying times throughout the week, which means some mornings are a rush and others are more relaxed. On the early days, I quickly get ready and head out to catch the train to the university’s train station. Fortunately, the station is only a three-minute walk from my place, making my morning commute a breeze.

Classroom Experience

Once at university, my day is filled with engaging lectures that dive deep into both the theoretical and practical aspects of electronics, mechanics, and mathematics. Between classes, I catch up with friends during breaks and grab a bite if the schedule stretches into the late afternoon.

Projects and Labs

The real excitement begins in the labs, where I apply what we've learned in lectures. Whether it’s electrical circuits, mechanical practicals, or designing sensors and interactive systems, the hands-on experience is both challenging and immensely rewarding.

Campus Life

The university campus offers more than just being a place for academic pursuits. With state-of-the-art facilities, it provides an ideal environment for studying. There's never a dull moment here, thanks to the frequent activities hosted by the School of Engineering and various student activities. These events not only enhance our academic experience but also foster a vibrant community atmosphere, making it easy to engage with peers and expand our networks with students from other fields.

Evening Routine

After a day’s work, I unwind by cooking dinner, a perfect activity to relax and clear my mind. After dinner, I finish any remaining university work. My day typically ends with some video games or catching up on my favourite TV shows, a great way to recharge for the next day.

Days Off

On days when I don’t have classes, I take the opportunity to delve deeper into personal projects or catch up on studying. These breaks from the structured university schedule are essential for consolidating knowledge and exploring areas of interest in more depth. Additionally, I take time to meet-up with friends and explore the city with them, ensuring I maintain a well-rounded and balanced student life.

Conclusion

Studying Mechatronic and Robotic engineering at the University of Birmingham is as demanding as it is rewarding. Each day offers new opportunities to learn and grow, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in engineering, technology, and societal aspects.
