When I started thinking about studying for a Masters degree, I knew it would be an exciting next step. Like many prospective postgraduate students, I was also keen to understand what financial support might be available.
I first became interested in MSc Computer Science at the University of Birmingham after attending an Open Day. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming and both staff and students were approachable and happy to share their experiences. During one of the talks, I learned about the scholarships available, particularly the Birmingham Masters Scholarship, which made the decision to apply even more appealing.
The Birmingham Masters Scholarship offers £3,000 as a tuition fee discount for eligible home students starting a Masters degree who have not previously studied at the University of Birmingham. For students considering postgraduate study, funding like this can make taking the next step feel much more achievable.
One of the aims of the Birmingham Masters Scholarship is to help retain talented graduates within the Midlands, with priority given to students who completed their undergraduate degree at a Midlands-based university.
