My favourite study spaces (that aren't the library)

It's that time of the year again where we are all scrambling for a spot in the library to study. I used to think the library was the only place I could go but there's so many different spots around campus that suit every kind of need. I couldn't possibly list them all but I’ll talk about some of my favourites.
This building is a fan favourite and one of the newer buildings on campus. The whole thing is essentially one big study space and I love it. It's a more social space in the sense that you have the ability to chat while studying which isn't really possible in the library. There are 5 floors of different tables and booths. I really enjoy sitting on the top floor in the mornings as it has a lot of natural light and since it’s been hotter recently the windows are openable which lets in a nice breeze.
The new girl in town, the Molecular Sciences Building has some spaces that have recently saved my life for assignments. Chemistry students, alongside students studying Geography, Earth and Environmental Sciences courses, have exclusive access to Molecular Sciences study spaces. There's a reading room where quiet study takes place and some space in the foyer to study. The downstairs meeting rooms are also a great place to revise when not in use by staff.
J.G. Smith is amazing for a good lock-in session. There's a plethora of rooms that don't need booking and can just be used. I'm pretty sure I spent half of my 2nd year exam season in this building. It doesn't have many distractions and is just behind Muirhead Tower. Again, it's another space where you don't need to stay silent so great for group study sessions.
For a cosier vibe, Aston Webb is a great place to study - especially in winter. I love sitting in a booth and just doing some ‘relaxing’ catch up. There’s also another study space in Aston Webb which is usually empty but I prefer the downstairs vibe. There's a great silent study space in there and there are also computers available.
I fear a lot of students overlook this because it feels like its only for med students, but in reality all UoB students have card access in and there are so many spaces here to study. My favourite spot in the building is the computer clusters.
Another one of the newer buildings. The study space here is more social and gives room to chat to friends and socialise. There are also nice nooks and crannies to have a more private space.
