Transitioning from undergraduate studies in India to postgraduate education abroad has been a transformative experience.
During my undergraduate years in India, the academic framework was heavily exam-oriented. The evaluation system was mainly based on end-term exams, with internal assessments, resulting in a high-pressure environment in which repetition often took preference over fundamental understanding.
Upon embarking on my postgraduate journey, I encountered a stark contrast. Here, the emphasis shifted from exams to assignments, which profoundly altered my approach to learning. Assignments were not just about recalling information but demanded critical thinking, research, and the application of knowledge to real-world scenarios. This shift initially posed a challenge, as the assignments were more complex and required a higher level of analytical and writing skills.
