Let's pack your life up

Not to worry! I am here to save the day. It’s packing day, and you have no clue where to start. Well lucky you that you have the most organised UOB student writing this blog!

Let’s skip the intro and get straight into it.

Kitchen Essentials:

  1. 3 pans, (1 little, 1 medium, 1 large)
  2. 1 saucepan
  3. 1 sieve
  4. 4 forks, 4 knives, 4 spoons, 4 tea spoons
  5. 2-4 mugs
  6. 2-4 cups
  7. 4 plates, 4 side plates, 4 bowels
  8. can opener and bottle opener
  9. chopping knives, chopping boards
  10. measuring jug
  11. utensils - whisk, wooden spoons, etc
  12. baking trays
  13. Tupperware

Liv’s Kitchen lifesavers

  1. Ikea trolleys - Ikea sells a three tier trolley. This was a life saver! You don't have much room in the cupboards, often only 2 cupboards and 1 shelf in the fridge. Having a trolley for food that doesn’t need to be refrigerated or for your utensils, it is so much easier
  2. organisers for your cupboards - if you have plate stackers, mug organisers etc, it will be a life saver!

Bedroom essentials

  1. bedding (single or double)
  2. mattress cover
  3. throws and blankets
  4. decor - pictures, tat, organisers, things that remind you of home
  5. shoe rack
  6. hangers
  7. mirror (one for on your desk, one for your room)
  8. lamp
  9. makeup organiser
  10. electronics and their chargers
  11. clothes, shoes..

Liv’s bedroom lifesavers

  • clothes organisers - Ikea has a cubbyhole hanging organiser for wardrobe which will help to save room
  • wicker baskets - for shoes, clothes, underwear - they look nice and are practical)
  • under the bed storage
  • draw dividers (you can find some good ones on amazon)
  • Ikea trolley (for all of your bathroom essentials (often there isn’t enough space)

Bathroom Essentials

  • hygiene essentials - toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, hairbrush, etc
  • bath mat (if you're sharing a bathroom, check if your housemates have one because there is no point having loads)
  • 2 sets of towels (one big and one small)
  • robe and slippers

Liv’s bathroom lifesavers

  • shower shoes (crocs or sliders)
  • shower caddy
  • bathroom decor (we have ivy and pictures to make it more homey)
  • air diffuser, bleach, toilet cleaner.

Liv’s other lifesavers:

  • Charger organiser
  • Kitchen decor (it can look very bland sometimes so something exciting can be good to brighten up the space)

I hope this was super helpful! See you September!
