We are interested in finding new ways to understand and support the physical activity/sport needs of individuals and communities ranging from: children to older people, elite athletes to sedentary adults, and healthy participants to those recovering from injury or living with chronic diseases.

Our Applied Golf Management Studies programme is a world-leading golf degree that offers the chance to apply for membership of The Professional Golfers’ Association (The PGA). Our graduates lead the development of golf throughout the world. Across all three years of the degree you cover modules in the areas of business management, applied sports science, equipment technology and coaching theory delivered by specialist staff from the University and the PGA. Summer placements enable students to gain valuable experience at leading golf facilities across the UK and increasingly in locations such as Europe, the UAE, Egypt and the USA. There is also a distance learning foundation degree option, which includes a residential course delivered at the Belfry (The PGA National Training Academy).
