My current job is to try to improve and develop a better aerodynamic performance for the next generation of vehicles. By doing this, my role can help vehicles to have a better energy efficiency, which will help to make our lives more sustainable.

What is the best thing about your current role?

As a vehicle engineer, the best thing I can ever imagine is to see the product I have helped to develop actually running on the road. 

What made you interested in your current role?

After enjoying two years with UBRacing ( the Formula Student team in the University of Birmingham), I fell in love with the motorsport/vehicle industry. From there one of my ambitions was to build a high performance vehicle.

How has your career developed since graduating from the University of Birmingham?

After graduating from the University of Birmingham, I went to London to continue my education, building on the knowledge I gained at the University of Birmingham. When I finished my student life, I started my career path at NIO (a start-up building high performance electric vehicles) as a management trainee. For now, I am working as a senior aerodynamics engineer.

What motivates you?

I am motivated to work at the top of the industry, and for that reason one of my ambitions is to build one of the most aerodynamics cars on the ground.

Why did you originally apply to Birmingham?

The reputation of UoB, and the wonderful campus was also beyond my exception. The most important reason was that many successful engineers studied at Birmingham.
