  • Professor P Mendes , School of Chemical Engineering, was awarded £1,468,788 from the Commission of the European Communities for the project ‘FP7_ERC - GLYCOSURF’
  • Dr P Gardner, School of Electronic, Electrical and Computer Engineering, was awarded £1,201,332 from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council for the project ‘Terahertz Technology for Future Road Vehicles (TRAVEL)’
  • Professor P Bowen, School of Metallurgy and Materials, was awarded £321,405 from the Health and Safety Executive for a ‘Research Fellowship in Nuclear Structural Integrity - Office of Nuclear Regulation’
