Cameroon Catalyst

Hi everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to visit our page on Cameroon Catalyst!

So firstly, a bit about ourselves. Cameroon Catalyst (CAMCAT) is an international development charity focused on promoting sustainable development in the Eastern region of Cameroon. It was founded in 2009 at the University of Southampton and is now an active society at other Universities; like here at UoB.

We are involved in the design of engineering projects which are eventually introduced to the communities in Cameroon. Currently we are working on designing latrines. However, it is also our responsibility to fundraise for the projects we design. For this we need your help!

We have weekly meetings on a Thursday at 6pm in UG07 in the Learning Centre; the building opposite Computer Science on campus. We like to do a variety of things at our meetings to keep them interesting and make sure everyone has a chance to have a go at everything. We alternate between design and fundraising every week, since both are important aspects of our society.

So if you’re interested in joining our society sign up on the Guild website and join our group on Facebook, follow us on Twitter  or Instagram, or email us. You can also find more information about the charity in general at: http://www.camerooncatalyst.org/ and watch our video on YouTube.

We hope to see you soon!

Thanks,

Cameroon Catalyst
