The Birmingham Energy Society (BES) was started to engage the student body in all matters related to the energy sector. It is hoped, by generating discussion, that the society will facilitate learning and develop interest in the diverse set of career opportunities available in the sector.
The Birmingham Energy Society (BES) was started to engage the student body in all matters related to the energy sector. It is hoped, by generating discussion, that the society will facilitate learning and develop interest in the diverse set of career opportunities available in the sector.
The Society received approval from the Guild prior to the start of the 2018/19 academic year. Fortunately, this means we will be able to prepare a stall for both the Welcome Week and EPS Societies Fairs.
At both Fairs, members of the committee will be present to answer any questions you have about the Society and provide information about our events, socials and meetings, as well as how to become a member. We are currently collating the programme for our first semester and will let you know our plans very soon. In the meantime, you can stay up to date with us by paying us a visit at one of the Societies Fairs or via our Facebook page.
This is a very exciting time for BES and we would love to see as many faces as possible at our first meeting in Week 2. We believe that with strong engagement from the student body, the society will be wide reaching and provide learning for everyone involved.
