It has been a successful year for the EPS Mixed Netball Team. We roughly doubled our membership, and have seen as many as 20 people attending training sessions which was a lovely turnout. The current team brings together students from various disciplines across the EPS including Chemistry, Maths, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical Engineering. To keep this community going and ensure our new members get a chance to bond while having fun with the team we made it a point to organise more socials.

We came second in the Campus League this year, due to goal difference, entering us into the quarter finals. Unfortunately, we were one of the four teams to leave at the first round but this is he furthest the team has achieved that I am aware of! Out of the 10 games we played competitively we won 8 making this a very successful year for us, it was lovely to have a diverse team playing for us every week.

We also entered the EPS Trophy for the first time, unfortunately we did not place highly, but it was a great afternoon of playing netball with a larger team against other EPS societies. Following the Trophy we even had a friendly match against the newly formed ChemSoc Netball team.Christmas training (left) and a friendly game (right)

The Team plan to continue having some training sessions during the summer term, and we are in the process of creating the committee for the next academic year. I wish the team luck next year and hope they can improve on our successes from this year.

For more information about the team and how to join our training sessions follow our facebook page.

If you have enjoyed this season with us, please nominate us for the EPS Societies' Awards and help us celebrate the end to a successful year!
