Our first entry into Formula Student 2019 UK was very successful given it is our very first time! The team entered the concept class, giving us a great opportunity to get feedback on our designs and see what other teams, like us, are up to. We placed 19th in the Concept Class at FSUK 2019 out of 37 teams from the UK and outside the UK which we’re very proud of!

Well done to all our team who attended the event and the rest of the members for putting in the work to enable us to go to the Competition and achieve what we did. We hope to build on our achievement by producing a car to take to the Formula Student competition and refine our performance in the events we have previously participated in.

The start of the 2019/2020 academic year has proven challenging, but we have built the team up to 30 members who are determined to get to Formula Student 2020 with a full car built. I am proud to say that by the end of semester one, our electric car’s design has been finished and the full design will be finalized over the next month. The manufacturing of our first car, Alton, will commence shortly after this. The team’s aim is to get the University’s first electric Formula Student car built and competition ready over the next year or so. To follow our progress keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram.

Wish us luck!
