We are extremely proud to announce that our undergraduate MPharm Pharmacy degree programme has been awarded full accreditation from the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

Pharmacy

The GPhC is responsible for defining the education and training requirements for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Our Pharmacy School is now officially considered as “established”.

Our MPharm Pharmacy degree is a 4 year programme that has been specifically designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to become an outstanding pharmacist of the future. Our students are prepared to be the modern pharmacists the healthcare profession needs, not only are they expert in the traditional function of dispensing medicines, they are also adept at delivering public health education programmes, managing health checks for the prevention and early detection of disease, management of chronic conditions and delivering medicines management outcomes.

100% of our graduating students have secured their pre-registration placements in some of the top teaching hospitals in the UK and prestigious community and primary care establishments. This pre-registration year, where trainees develop their practice to meet a number of performance standards, takes place in an approved practice setting under the supervision of a tutor and is the final step in becoming a UK-registered practicing pharmacist.
