The Birmingham Transformative Humanities Lab (BTHL) offers state-of-the-art facilities for researchers working across the humanities and science frontier.

From immersive technologies and AI modelling to behavioural observation and motion-capture studios, the BTHL supports students, staff and industry partners to do ground-breaking, cross-disciplinary research.

Our laboratory offers researchers access to advanced technological modalities, expert methodological support, and robust data management services. It's also a site of reflection on what it means to use those cutting edge tools and what critical, humanities engagement with them means.
