Most things in the real world are complex, from biological systems to the financial markets to industrial processes. Applied Mathematics MSc will equip you with the tools to understand these systems.
This Financial Data Science programme is a ground-breaking fusion of finance, mathematics, statistics, and data science designed to propel your career in the financial industry to new heights
This Financial Engineering Masters programme provides the skills that will enable technically able graduates to apply their quantitative training to financial analysis now offers a January start.
The Mathematical Finance MSc, taught by School of Mathematics and Department of Economics, provides the skills that will enable graduates to apply their quantitative training to financial analysis.
This Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Econometrics (MORSE), Masters programme is aimed at a new generation of mathematicians who will work at the frontiers of many industries
Our MSc Statistical Data Science programme uniquely merges statistical theory with state-of-the-art data science techniques, addressing the high demand for professionals skilled in complex analysis
The MSc Statistics programme offers a comprehensive curriculum that encompasses both foundational and advanced statistical principles and techniques, coupled with intensive data analysis training.
The following programme is taught at out campus in Dubai:
Propel your career in the financial sector to new heights. With a blend of finance, mathematics, statistics and data science, you’ll gain practical experience in harnessing data to inform decisions.
Our Master of Research (MRes) programmes provide comprehensive training in mathematics and areas appropriate to professional development and research foundations. To be accepted onto this programme a high standard in a mathematically-based undergraduate degree must have been achieved, equivalent to a UK upper-second or first class degree.
The MRes is an ideal preparation for entry into the PhD programme at Birmingham. In fact, the MRes programme can be used as the first phase of our ‘Fast-track’ PhD programme. This is appropriate for well-qualified students who do not have all the necessary background to start immediately on a PhD in their area of choice. In this programme the MRes thesis is extended over a further period of two years into a PhD thesis.
This Applied Mathematics Master of Research (MRes) programme involves both taught classes in Applied Mathematics and a substantial MRes thesis which accounts for almost two-thirds of the total degree.
Our Management Mathematics MRes programme involves both taught classes in Management Mathematics and a substantial MRes thesis which accounts for almost two-thirds of the total degree.
Our Pure Mathematics Master of Research (MRes) programme involves both taught classes in Pur Mathematics and a substantial MRes thesis which accounts for almost two-thirds of the total degree.
This Statistics MRes will give you the skills to tackle real-world challenges in data science, statistics, and interdisciplinary research, preparing you for impactful careers in academia or industry.
