Hong Kong Foundation board of directors
The Board of Directors brings together a wealth of experience from across Hong Kong and the University of Birmingham to give strategic direction to the Foundation.
The Board meet twice a year to distribute funding to charitable priorities at the University that have an impact in Hong Kong, the mainland and beyond.

Guy has over 35 years’ experience in local and overseas financial and general management. He was Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director at Sa Sa International Holdings from 2002 – 2022. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer and an Executive Director of Tom.com Ltd (renamed TOM Group Ltd.). Guy is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (‘HKICPA’).
Currently, Guy is an Advisor to Bayler & Jackson Dental Surgeons Limited, an Advisor to the New Retail Sub-Committee of the Hong Kong Retail Management Association; and a Member of the Retail Industry Training Advisory Committee.
In recognition of Guy’s achievements the University awarded him an honorary doctorate (DUniv) in 2013.

Conrad is a professional engineer who has over 30 years of building construction experience. He is the Vice-Chairman of Yau Lee Holdings Limited, a major building construction group.
Conrad also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton, Master of Business Administration Degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Bachelor in Religious Sciences Degree from the Holy Spirit Seminary College of Theology and Philosophy, and a Doctorate from the City University of Hong Kong.
He is also Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Open University of Hong Kong; Member of the Energy Advisory Committee; Member of the Trade and Industry Advisory Board; Member of the Environmental Campaign Committee and Member of the Town Planning Board. Previously, Conrad was Deputy Chairman of the Vocational Training Council and Chairman of the Hong Kong Green Building Council.

Ms Anna Lin, JP Chief Executive Officer, GS1 Hong Kong
Anna has over 30 years’ experience of senior management in strategy formulation, business planning execution and pioneering innovative industry platforms. She leads GS1 Hong Kong to establish platforms, ecosystems and programmes to drive industry adoption of global supply chain standards, practices and technologies for enhanced business efficiency, digital commerce and IoT development.
Anna was made a Chartered Fellow (FCILT) of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in 2018, in recognition of her achievement and contribution to the industry in Hong Kong.
She holds a number of appointments in both government and industry organisations. She is a member of GS1 Global Management Board and CEO Advisory Council; HKSAR Logistics Development Council, HKTDC Logistics Services Advisory Committee; the Advisory Board of Birmingham Business School.

Professor Robin Mason Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International), University of Birmingham
Robin sits on the University’s Executive Board. As Pro-Vice-Chancellor (International) at the University of Birmingham, he has responsibility for strategic oversight and delivery of the University’s international activities (education, research and engagement) and reputation.
His research focuses on how firms respond strategically to uncertainty and the incentives faced by economic agents in situations when they have imperfect information about their environment.
He is a fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research, and sits on the Accreditation Board of EQUIS, one of the two major accreditation bodies for business schools.

Stephen (JP) is Managing Director of ZhongYi Investment, an SFC Type 9 licensed asset manager. A member of the CPPCC National Committee and adviser to China's Ministry of Finance, he brings extensive leadership from his roles including Executive Director (Finance) of MTR Corporation and Managing Director at global private equity firm TPG (Asia). He previously held senior positions at Morningside Ventures and Wheelock/Wharf Groups, and began his career at Arthur Andersen (UK).
Stephen holds multiple board appointments including Hong Kong Cyberport, Hong Kong Dance Company, and the Agricultural Park Advisory Committee. He is a Deputy President of the Hong Kong INED Association and sits on the HKSAR Green Tech Fund Assessment Committee. A Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) and President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA), he also serves as Independent Director for several listed companies including CSPC Pharmaceutical and China Galaxy Securities.
