Inspiring, supporting and delivering world-leading, cross-disciplinary research

I am delighted to begin my tenure as Director of the IGI and the IAS and am looking forward to us working together to co-ordinate the development and support for interdisciplinary research across the University.

The Institutes’ remits will remain the same as before, with the IGI supporting ‘Global Challenge led’ projects through research themes. The IAS will continue to support cross-disciplinary ‘demand-led’ workshops and fellowships proposed by academics from across the University.

I am also pleased to announce that we are now seeking expressions of interest for an exciting new opportunity as Deputy Director, working across the IGI and IAS. Please see the Job Description. Do contact me if you would like to discuss the role.

Finally I would like to thank Mike Hannon as the outgoing IAS Director and to congratulate Mike on his tremendous efforts and leadership over the past three years.

All the team at the IGI and IAS are passionate about cross-disciplinary research and look forward to supporting your endeavours.
