The University Baroque-Classical Orchestra offer a sneak peek into the world of the 2027 Barber Opera, a double-bill featuring one of Haydn’s twelve puppet operas, Philemon and Baucis. The students explore Haydn’s writing, whilst performing on period instruments, with extracts from the opera and a performance of La Passione, his Symphony No.49 in F minor.
