Location
University of Birmingham
Dates
Wednesday 21 February 2024 (13:00-15:00)

Join this masterclass where you will explore the great possibilities of expanding our choice of atoms from the periodic table for drug discovery. You will get to see how nature uses metals in a varied range of functions, from DNA replication to muscle movement and enzyme activity.

This session's discussions will venture into therapies that go beyond the ordinary from managing conditions like arthritis to bipolar disorders. And guess what? Platinum, the band and main feature of many beautiful rings, isn't just about making things sparkle – it's used in cancer treatment too.
