Birmingham Law School’s Centre for Employability, Professional Legal Education and Research (CEPLER) facilitates a wealth of activities that are linked to the law in practice, the legal profession and the development of students’ professional skills and attributes.
The Centre draws upon unparalleled links with the legal profession, legal regulators, NGOs, third sector organisations and business to deliver an annual programme that offers students the opportunity to enhance their employability by gaining practical experiences and insights into professional working life. These connections also enrich the research and scholarship carried out by Birmingham Law School academics, providing opportunities to generate applied and impactful research which is responsive to the needs and challenges of those in professional practice.
