Graduation is a special milestone, and we want you to feel confident and prepared for your big day. Below you will find three short videos that guide you through each stage of your graduation ceremony - from the start right through to the end.
Before the Ceremony
Your graduation day begins well before you enter the Great Hall. This video walks you through everything you need to do in advance — from collecting your tickets and robes to having your official photographs taken. Whether you're arriving by train or car, this guide will help you plan your arrival and make sure you're ready for a smooth and enjoyable start to your celebration.
During the Ceremony
Once you’ve collected your tickets and robes, it’s time to head into the Great Hall for your ceremony. This video explains everything that happens during the event — from seating arrangements to walking across the stage. You’ll learn how to enter the hall, where to sit, and what to expect when your name is called. Graduation staff will be on hand throughout to guide you, so you can relax and enjoy your moment.
After the Ceremony
Congratulations — you’re officially a graduate! Once the ceremony ends, you will follow the academic procession out of the Great Hall and reunite with your guests in Chancellor’s Court. Many schools host post-ceremony receptions with refreshments and photography opportunities. You may have received an email with details — if not, it’s best to contact your school directly. Before leaving campus, don’t forget to return your robe and collect your certificate. Signs on the day will guide you to the right locations.
