Law at Birmingham

Birmingham Law School is the most established law school in one of the largest legal communities in the country. For over 85 years we have made a major contribution to teaching and scholarship, and you’ll learn from academics who are leaders in their fields and the authors of many key works used by practitioners today.

Our programme will help you develop an enquiring and critical attitude to law, learn to think logically and communicate clearly. The skills you will acquire throughout the degree are transferable and as a result you will enjoy excellent employment prospects in both law and non-law careers.

Our Centre for Professional Legal Education and Research (CEPLER) offers a range of opportunities to increase your knowledge of law in action and enhance your employability. In doing so, our programme of education and pro bono work benefits a wider community in the West Midlands. Activities include mooting competitions, work placements and careers lectures.
