Nursing at Birmingham
Based in the Medical School, our highly stimulating Nursing programme provides you with the first-class opportunity to develop the necessary clinical and academic skills required to lead a successful career in nursing.
Our distinctive foundation training in year one means you will gain broad experience of nursing in Adult, Mental Health and Child and Public Health clinical settings, before expressing a preference of the field of practice you wish to study in years two and three.
We have excellent links with local NHS Trusts meaning that you will have increased opportunities for contact with a wide range of patients, with a variety of health conditions. Nursing at Birmingham also offers you the opportunity to take a four-week elective placement, either abroad or in the UK.
As a Birmingham student, you will be looked after from the very beginning. We have been developing students to become the best possible nurses since 1989 and have seen our graduates fast tracking through career paths time and time again.
