Today we have one of the largest international student communities in the UK with over 8,700 students from more than 150 countries worldwide currently studying with us.
Following the result of the EU Referendum we understand that you may have questions and concerns. We have created a dedicated web-page with the University's latest statement regarding the referendum. You can also find there, for your further assurance, an information sheet comprising a list of frequently asked questions containing the latest available information regarding the referendum's outcomes.
Depending on your home country and the agreement with your home university, there are three study options available.
Erasmus
Exchange
We offer Erasmus exchange places for students studying at one of our partner universities in Europe. Your home university or institution will need to nominate you before you can apply.
International Exchange
We offer exchange places to students studying at partner universities outside of Europe. Your home university or institution will need to nominate you before you can apply.
Fee-paying Non Exchange
We welcome applications from fee-paying students from universities with no existing partnership with Birmingham. You can apply online with no requirement for advance nomination.
