Module Lists – 2022/23 Academic Year
As a Study Abroad or incoming exchange student at the University of Birmingham, there is a large choice of modules you can take. You can choose modules from the Colleges listed below. If you coming to Birmingham for one year, you will be taking 60 UK-credits per semester (120 UK-credits in total). If you are coming to Birmingham for one semester, you will be registered onto 60 UK-credits in total.
You don’t need to choose your modules at the application stage. After you have submitted your application form to us, we will send you a separate link to the module selection form in which you will be able to indicate your choice of modules from each College. The College (s) you have applied for will subsequently contact you directly to discuss your module selection. Learn more about how to apply.
Given the exceptional circumstances this year, all modules listed in the handbooks below are subject to change. This is in response to the global pandemic and a need to review delivery and accessibility to ensure content is of the standard required for a suitable learning experience whether it that be on-campus or via distance learning.
Liberal Arts and Natural Sciences (LANS) School
Incoming exchange LANS students need to take a minimum of 20 UK-credits in LANS over two semesters or 10 UK-credits minimum for one Semester only. The remaining credits can be taken in other Colleges (apart from the College of Medical and Dental Sciences).
