Santander Scholarship Application
Banco de Santander is awarding a number of scholarships worth £1000 for a full year and £500 for a semester each to students that are completing their year abroad at a university in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Ghana, Mexico, Singapore, Uruguay and USA.
Students undertaking work or teaching placements are not eligible for the scholarship.
Successful candidates will be expected to act as ambassadors for the University of Birmingham and the student exchange programme both during and after their year abroad. This may involve participating in Study Abroad fairs and similar events, giving presentations, talking to potential applicants, welcoming incoming students to campus and writing profiles for study abroad promotional materials.
Students undertaking a study placement in 2017/18 in one of the listed countries are eligible to apply for a competitive Santander scholarship.
Students must be undertaking either a semester or a full academic year in one of the following countries:
Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Ghana, Mexico, Singapore, Uruguay and USA.
Work placements are not eligible.
Anyone who is awarded a scholarship and subsequently withdraws from the programme or switches to a work or teaching placement will have to repay any monies awarded.
