The University of Birmingham Apprenticeship Scheme offers individuals an outstanding opportunity to learn while they earn in a world leading academic and research institution.

What are apprenticeships?

An apprenticeship is a paid job where the employee learns and gains valuable experiences.

Alongside on-the-job training, apprentices spend at least 6 of their working hours learning with a college, university or training provider which leads to a nationally recognised qualification.

An apprenticeship includes:

  • Earn a salary and have dedicated time for off the job training
  • Hands-on-experience in a sector/role of interest
  • Complete an industry recognised apprenticeship standard
  • Start your long term career pathway in your chosen industry.
