  • Professor Liam Grover, School of Chemical Engineering, was awarded £534,061 from the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council for ‘Novel Implant Design and Manufacture with Embedded Therapeutics’.
  • Professor Paul Bowen, School of Metallurgy and Materials, was awarded £107,000 from Rolls Royce for Friction Welding of Aerospace Alloys - Behavioural Studies (Titanium).
  • Professor Bowen was also awarded £109,500 from Rolls Royce for UTP Core PhD Studentship 2008-2014 and a further £216,000 from Rolls Royce for Casting Partnership: Maintenance and Upkeep of Single Shot Casting Furnace
