Sophie Boyron, a Senior Lecturer at Birmingham Law School, is cited repeatedly in the recently released report of the House of Commons Political and Constitutional Committee on The Constitutional Role of the Judiciary if there were a Codified Constitution.

In particular, the Committee takes heed of Boyron's warning about the risks attached to extending pre-enactment review to all legislation were the UK to adopt a codified constitution. As one of the leading comparative public lawyers in Europe, Boyron was invited to appear before the Committee in December 2013 to give evidence on the implications for the judiciary of a codified constitution.
