Two members of staff from the School of English, Drama, and American and Canadian Studies (EDACS) are participating in a landmark conference at the University of Nottingham, UK.
The conference, which is taking place 11-13 September 2017, celebrates the 60th anniversary of the death of Wyndham Lewis (1882-1957), who was one of the twentieth century’s most innovative and controversial avant-garde painters, writers, and theorists. Dr Nathan Waddell, who is joining EDACS in October 2017, is a co-organizer of the conference, and along with Professor Andrzej Gąsiorek is a member of the Editorial Board of the Oxford University Press Edition of Lewis’s Collected Works. Nathan and Andrzej are leading several sessions at the conference, which will include presentations from some of the world’s most eminent modernist scholars and feature an editing symposium with contributions from academics working on the OUP Edition of Lewis.
