Apprenticeship Co-ordinator Caleb Wright said: “We’re passionate about supporting people to develop their careers. The University of Birmingham, with tens of thousands of students and staff, is like a small town. This means there are a huge variety of jobs that can be undertaken, from gardening to cooking to marketing. This is a brilliant opportunity, and I’m looking forward to meeting lots of prospective applicants on 5th March.”
Current Business Administration Apprentice Olivia Barfi started her course in September 2018, and she now works in the University’s External Relations team, providing administrative support and learning about communications and marketing.
Olivia said: “It’s a brilliant opportunity to develop your skills in the workplace, if you want to move forward in your career. I’m really enjoying my apprenticeship because I get to do something different every day – no two days are the same. I enjoy the creative aspects of my role, like creating blog posts and generating social media content.”
