University of Birmingham Apprenticeship Scheme

Welcome to the University of Birmingham's Apprenticeship scheme

The University of Birmingham is one of the largest employers in the city and currently has over 6,500 members of staff, spanning a range of academic, professional, technical, manual and clerical roles.

This new apprenticeship programme will provide great opportunities for people to learn work place skills while studying a formal course in the relevant field.

An Apprenticeship at Birmingham provides the experience of working at a leading University. The apprentices recruited will be able to learn and earn at the same time. They range in length from one to four years and will lead to a recognised work based qualification.

The University will be offering a wide range of opportunities. During our pilot year this included roles in our Estates Department, Hospitality and Accommodation Services, IT and many more.

Apprentices will benefit from the knowledge and talent of our existing teams as well as completing an accredited qualification with a partner training provider. The University will support each apprentice to make the most of this exciting opportunity.

See what our fantastic apprentices say about their experience.
