Kate Ince delivered the invited paper 'Feminism, film and pleasure in Britain and France in the 1970s' at the 'Debout! Feminist Film Activism in France and Beyond' symposium at Queen Mary University of London on the 31st May.

She also delivered a paper on Simone de Beauvoir and Claire Denis's Vendredi soir/Friday Nightat the 'Diverse Lineages of Existentialism' conference hosted by the Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (though held in St-Louis, Missouri) on the 19-21 June.

Finally she was part of a panel on feminist philosophy and female film-makers at Film-Philosophy VII in Glasgow between 2 and 4 July, with a paper called 'Towards or away from Nancy: White Material and Claire Denis' film-philosophical trajectory'.
