Professor Martin Trybus addressed the German Procurement Conference as part of a panel of the Academic Advisory Committee of the German Procurement Association

On 18 September 2025 Professor Martin Trybus (Birmingham Law School) addressed the German Procurement Conference (Forum Vergabe Gespraeche) in Fulda as part of a panel of the Academic Advisory Committee of the German Procurement Association (Forum Vergabe e.V.), also consisting of Professors Burgi (LMU Munich), Fuchs (WU Vienna), and Knauff (U Jena). Trybus has been a member of this Academic Advisory Committee for over 15 years and also serves on the Jury of the Thesis Prize of the Association, the "International Procurement Award".
The Panel addressed the current reform of public procurement law in Germany and the EU. In his contribution Trybus analysed the recent judgements of the Court of Justice of the EU on bidders for public contracts in the EU who are from third countries who do not have a trade agreement with the EU that includes the mutual opening of procurement markets: 'Kolin' and 'Quingdao Sinfang'.
