Leading scholar on the work of director Eugenio Barba and Odin Teatret invited to give online lecture to Ukrainian theatre community.

Professor Adam Ledger
Professor Adam Ledger has been invited by the Ukrainian theatre organisation ProScena to give an online lecture on the work of director Eugenio Barba and Odin Teatret.
Barba and his theatre company - which has recently celebrated its 60th anniversary - are widely acknowledged as one of the most significant theatre groups of modern theatre. ProScena's invitation to deliver a lecture comes after Professor Ledger's long-term engagement of over 20 years with Odin Teatret and his several publications on the work of Eugenio Barba.
The lecture takes Odin Teatret’s current performance, Hamlet’s Clouds, as a starting point to reflect on over sixty years of theatre making. 2026 is also the occasion of Eugenio Barba’s ninetieth birthday. The lecture explores how training continues to be passed on, how performances are created in rehearsal, and Barba’s key theoretical principles.
350 attendees have registered for the event.
