His research focuses on US politics with emphasis on the presidency and executive-legislative relations, on the quality of established democracies and on comparative politics of Western democracies.
Dr Siewert’s visit will enhance colleagues’ methodological expertise in conflict and peace studies, and will provide a number of opportunities for researchers to benefit from his unique methodological expertise in qualitative and mixed- and multi-methods research, in US and German politics. During his visit an IAS workshop will be organised on Qualitative Comparative Analysis and on mixed- and multi-methods research for early career lecturers.
