    Building a UoB Stroke Research Network

    Tuesday 22 October 2024, 9.00am - 4.00pm

    This workshop is intended to bring together the University of Birmingham’s diverse group of stroke-related researchers to meet, discuss and exchange ideas for future research collaboration and in doing so, enhance our reputation in this area. Researchers with overlapping and complementary interests will be given the opportunity to foster new ideas.

    Earth Heritage

    Thursday 24 October 2024, 9.00am - 4.00pm

    Earth Heritage comprises the landforms, rocks, fossils, soils and minerals which have shaped the diversity and richness of modern landscapes, biodiversity and humanity, underpinning cultures, societies, economies and the environment. This workshop will bring together University of Birmingham researchers to develop collaborative research ideas across disciplines.

    Launching the MENA Health Research Network

    18 - 20 November 2024

    The workshop aims to establish a dynamic, interdisciplinary network dedicated to addressing the most pressing health challenges in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. By convening leading experts from a diverse range of fields, including medicine, public health, social sciences, clinical trials, bioinformatics, genetics and genomics, and molecular and cellular biology and pharmacology, we will foster collaboration, catalyse innovative research, and enhance the University of Birmingham's global impact.

    Birmingham Bioethics Hub

    Wednesday 18 December 2024, 9.00am - 4.00pm

    Bioethics is an inherently interdisciplinary area of research. It draws heavily on several of the humanities and social sciences, whilst being applied to STEM disciplines. This interdisciplinarity is very much the strength of bioethics and is why collaborative research projects are so common. This workshop seeks to establish a fully interdisciplinary University of Birmingham Bioethics Hub which draws together existing areas of strength, to facilitate cross-pollination and collaboration.
